Scrub Components is dedicated to providing riders with pure performance when second place is not good enough. As avid riders, we grew tired of the trade off between quality, performance and weight on our mountain bikes. Our products were designed from the ground up with no compromise. The heart of Scrub Components is our superlight disc brake rotors. Our rotors are built one at a time from metal-matrix composite sheet. Our metal-matrix composite is used in other industries for racing applications like sport bikes and snowmobiles, but there is currently nothing like it available for your mountain bike. Our material is only manufactured in a few places in the world, and is very expensive to produce. True to the vision of Scrub, we wanted to take a no compromise approach to all of the products we sell! While the material is the star of the show, we also didn’t cut corners during manufacturing. Each piece is precision machined to ensure a flat braking surface, smooth outside edges, and solid bolt holes. Even the graphics and finish are like nothing you’ve ever seen on a disc rotor before! Our rotors are not just a spin off of some other product currently on the market. They are strong, durable, powerful, and do not rely on a coating of any kind to provide a friction surface. They do require the use of an organic/resin brake pad, but you do not have to leave them home when the trails get wet or muddy. As long as you use the appropriate sized rotor for your application, you can abuse them just as much as your heavy stainless steel rotors! Quality, performance, featherweight, and made in the USA!. Our custom projects utilize a unique coating that is extremely thin, light, and durable. It does not build up around the edges, and will not affect heat transfer.
